3rd Program Governing Committee meeting

On March 29, 2021 the Program organized its 3rd Program Governing Committee (PGC) meeting since the implementation of MPP2030, to report the activities of 2020 and request approval for its 2021 work plan.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. José Paulo Esperança, Vice-President of FCT, and included the PGC members Richard K. Lester, MIT Associate Provost for International Activities, and Maria Zuber, Vice President for Research at MIT; António M. Cunha, Representative of the Portuguese participating entities and President of the Digital Transformation CoLab; and Isabel Furtado, Portuguese Industry Representative and CEO of TMG Automotive. The meeting was also attended by the MIT Portugal Directors from MIT and Portugal, Profs. Dava Newman, Doug Hart, Zita Martins and Pedro Arezes.

The MIT Portugal team presented the Program’s activities run through 2020 and the action plan for 2021 and took the opportunity to also share the new promotional video developed earlier in the year. The PGC reviewed and approved the annual plan and budget allocation for the proposed activities.
