Industry

OVERVIEW

The two previous MPP phases built a knowledge integration network that ties education and research directly to a community of stakeholders like companies, hospitals, and venture capitalists. MPP has gathered a network of more than 50 national and international industry affiliates, including Continental, Energias de Portugal (EDP), Galp Energia, Rolls Royce, Siemens, Unicer – Bebidas de Portugal, and VW Autoeuropa.

The main driver for this new phase (MPP2030) is for our industry affiliates to become active partners who participate more directly in shaping the future of science and innovation in Portugal. MPP 2030 will focus on developing joint research, which includes exploratory and flagship projects to be led by academics and industry experts. This will ensure a direct impact from the research findings to Portugal’s innovation landscape.
