Open Call for 10 PhD Grants in the MPP research area of Climate Science & Climate Change

The MIT Portugal Program is pleased to announce the opening of a call to award 10 (ten) MPP2030-FCT Research Grants in the strategic area of the MPP of Climate Science & Climate Change.

The MPP2030-FCT PhD Grants finance the carrying out of research activities leading to obtaining the academic Doctor degree in Portuguese Universities, under exclusive dedication.

This year, the call will be dedicated to students interested in conducting research activities addressing the complex challenges of Climate Sciences and Climate Change. The work plan may have a link to the other strategic areas of MPP as long as the primary scientific area is Climate Science and Climate Change.

The call is open between February 22, 2023 and March 22, 2023, 5 pm (Lisbon time).

The MPP education program in the current phase has promoted training of PhD candidates through MPP2030-FCT calls for PhD grants. Recipients of the PhD grants may enroll in any doctoral program at Portuguese Universities that suits their research interests, within the scope of the MPP2030 strategic research areas. Since the beginning of this protocol in 2020, 3 Ph.D. calls were opened, funding 110 PhD candidates.

On March 01, 2023, at 3:00 pm (Lisbon time) MPP will host an Online info session to explain the application process. Registration is free but mandatory. To register, please fill in this online form.
