The MIT Portugal Program has announced the preliminary results of the 2020 Call for MPP2030-FCT PhD Grants. The goal of the call was to award up to 40 PhD Grants.

For the 2020 inaugural call, the Program received 203 applications from students working across the 4 research areas of MIT Portugal. Considering the available number of 40 PhD grants, the acceptance rate was 19.7%.
Reviewing the preliminary results, we saw applicants from 27 different countries, with the majority of candidates from Portugal, Poland, Italy, Iran, Greece and Brazil. The preliminary results of the evaluation were shared today, December, 11th, via the email addresses provided by the candidates in their applications. Please note that these preliminary results constitute a provisional proposal and do not reflect a final decision. The final decision will be communicated after the prior hearing of the interested parties.

The candidates now have ten (10) business days to comment on the preliminary decision results at the prior hearing. Candidates can request a prior hearing and submit their supporting arguments for score revisions. All candidates will be notified of the FINAL results via email.
