The MIT Portugal Program is once again accepting applications for its seven leading-edge advanced degree programs: Those candidates who are accepted in the coming months will be part of MIT Portugal’s fourth class of students. They will begin their studies in the fall of 2010 at the consortia of universities in Portugal established by the Program, and some students will have the opportunity to conduct research in the United States, at MIT laboratories.
There are currently 205 PhD and 129 Advanced Studies/Executive Master’s students in the MIT Portugal Program. They come from 33 countries in Europe, Africa, North and South America, Asia and the Middle East.
Applying to the Program
As in previous years, the application form is available on this website and must be submitted online. This year, forms will be received and recorded via a secure online applications management service. Once a candidate goes to the form and logs in, s/he can save the form and return to it as many times as needed before submitting the application, along with a CV and other required attachments. The application form is found in the Apply section of the MIT Portugal website, which details entry requirements, factors of preference in admissions, the selection process, the host institutions that make up the MIT Portugal education consortia, and scholarship information. It also provides contact lists and a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs). |
