Life Cycle Assessment, Operations Research The Energy for Sustainability group (http://www.uc.pt/en/efs) of the University of Coimbra opened 4 research grants on the modeling and assessment of energy systems. The selected candidates will be working on two MIT Portugal research projects (2011-2013): “Economic and Environmental Sustainability of Electric Vehicle Systems” “Capturing Uncertainty in Biofuels for Transportation. Resolving Environmental Performance and Enabling Improved Use” The applicants should have a Masters or a PhD degree, in an engineering or scientific discipline, economics or with an otherwise strong analytical background. Experience in any of the following is an advantage: - Life Cycle Assessment;
- Industrial Ecology;
- Operations Research;
- Decision Analysis;
- Energy systems modeling;
- Computer programming.
