Events

The initiative, “Professores MIT Portugal vão à Escola” constitutes a series of sessions where students have the opportunity to interact with specialists in areas such as Bioengineering, Renewable Energy and Transports. This week session will be hosted by Larry Young, professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT and former astronaut.

This initiative is a collaboration between the MIT Portugal Program  and Ciência Viva with the objective to disseminate science in Portuguese high schools and to encourage students to pursue their studies in high tech fields in which MIT is a world leader. The series has reached thousands of students and facilitated informal and personal interactions with dozens of MIT faculty members at schools across Portugal.
