The MIT Portugal Program is pleased to announce the winners of its 2009 Education Innovation Awards. These awards are an important element of the Program's efforts to recognize and reward excellence in the design and delivery of educational programs in Portugal. The Program leadership, through the awards, seeks to give greater incentive to outstanding teaching as part of its desire to ensure the quality of its degree programs.

The MIT Portugal Program community and the public are invited to attend an Awards Ceremony, to be held at the Fundação Luso-Americana para o Desenvolvimento (FLAD) in Lisbon on Tuesday 4 May from 17h00-19h00.

The MIT Portugal Program recognizes FLAD as the generous sponsor of the Education Innovation Awards.

The featured speakers at the Ceremony will be Prof. António M. Cunha, Rector of the University of Minho, and Dr. Sebastian M. Pfotenhauer, whose research in the Technology Policy Program at MIT has focused on the Program's students and faculty.
