The MIT-Portugal Transportation Systems AirNets research project team will hold a workshop titled:

"Advances in Airport, Air Traffic, and Airline Network Design"

The project has led to a set of tools that can be of practical value to air transport policy-makers and planners, with respect to infrastructure planning and operations management. The potential usefulness of the tools will be illustrated through case studies involving Europe and the United States.

In the workshop, the advances already achieved within the AirNets project will be presented and discussed. The main purpose is to obtain reactions and suggestions from participants in time to influence the directions of the project during its final eight months and thus maximize the eventual usefulness of its outcomes.

The workshop will be held at the Hotel Tivoli Oriente in the Expo section of Lisbon on Tuesday, 27 April 2010, from 09:00-17:30.
