FAE - Fórum de Administradores de Empresas, Proforum - Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Engenharia, a AEP, a AIP and the MIT Portugal Program are pleased to announce the 3rd High-Level Conference_Thinking the Future: Urban Mobility: The Great Challenge for Society.

The objective of this conference is to present the challenges and possible solutions to issues in urban transportation, with a special focus on the role of new technologies in areas such as transport system alternatives and options, traffic control, energy efficiency, reduction of emissions, and traffic safety.

Presenters will include:

• Professor Carlo Ratti, Director of the MIT SENSEable City Laboratory and Professor in the Departments of Urban Studies and Planning and Media Lab
• Professor Bill Mitchell, Professor of Architecture and Media Arts and Sciences at MIT, and Director of the Smart Cities research group at the MIT Media Lab
• Professor José Viegas, Full Professor in Transportation at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa

Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Professor António Antunes (Universidade de Coimbra), with the following individuals participating:
