Energy for Sustainability (Energy for Sustainability - EFS) is an initiative of University of Coimbra, bringing together teachers of the Faculties of Science and Technology, Economics and Psychology and Educational Sciences, with long experience of teaching, research, technology transfer and consultancy themes, namely, energy and sustainable development. This initiative aims to transfer knowledge to society, through interaction with policy makers, managers and technicians responsible for various sectors. To maintain a strong connection to the real problems of society, the initiative remains in connection with companies and other organizations that constitute its External Advisory Council and Measurement . Under this initiative, the University of Coimbra offers advanced training programs including a Master's degree and a PhD course, the latter in conjunction with the MIT | Portugal .

This Wedenesday, November 23rd, there will a meeting between Students and Companies (EfS 2011 - Alunos & Empresas). The first part consists of a poster session with the presentation of the ongoing and completed work of students. The second part of this meeting is reserved for a meeting of the External Advisory Council and Accounting (CEAA) with presentation of activities and projects developed in the last year in the areas of training, research and transfer, with discussion and consideration by Council members .
