Events

The Sustainable Energy System focus area will hold its Research Integration Workshop at the University of Coimbra October 9-11, 2009. The workshop will include the following:

• An introduction to Sustainable Energy Systems from Professors David Marks and Paulo Ferrão
• Research team meetings (faculty)
• Research team presentations (topics to include Energy Planning, Including Economics; Smart Energy Networks; Sustainable Built Environment; the Green Islands project)
• A presentation from an industry speaker

First-year students will talk with Professor Marks and Professor John Fernández about course requirements and the PhD, and second- and third-year students will meet with faculty advisors to discuss the coming academic year.
