MIT Portugal Program Strategic Report

The MIT Portugal Program strategic report details our vision for the Program’s future: to create competitive advantage for Portugal via the application of innovative systems thinking in higher education, and in science and engineering research. It provides a snapshot of the education programs we have built, and offers representative examples of the Program’s leading-edge research and application projects. These include sustainable energy and transportation systems, stem cell engineering for regenerative medicine, and materials and design-inspired productions. The report also describes the educational consortium we have created, the advanced research methods and models we have adopted, the network of industrial and institutional affiliates we have developed, the investment in human resource development in Portugal we have undertaken, and the unique collaborations we have fostered between Portugal and MIT.
